New Home For FLAG
FLAG is growing! After 2 years of renting a run-down studio with limited hours, we’ve managed to secure a full time location and I couldn’t be more excited if I tried! What it means for all of us is:
a new, well-maintained studio in the heart of West Hampstead
classes 7 days a week
daily Boxing at several different time slots (morning, lunchtime and evening +weekend mornings)
additional classes including Combat Conditioning, Hard Core and Mobility for Boxing
Women Only Boxing
Sweat & Tears- Men Only Boxing and Mental Health workshops
and much more!
The beginnings
A few of you still remember when, 2 years ago, after getting a second chance at living, I started teaching classes in a rented studio- just a couple of hours a week, in someone else’s space.
Since then FLAG has grown into a real community, something bigger than I’ve ever imagined.
The feedback I still hear from you most often is: ‘Here I truly feel a part of the team, I’ve never felt so included in any other gym before’.
And that sums up what FLAG is all about. Over those few short years we’ve built a gym where everyone feels at home.
We’ve trained beginners nervous to throw their first jab. We’ve coached fighters preparing for their amateur bouts. We’ve sweat buckets in fitness challenges and raised money for charity. And we’ve witnessed dozens of people find confidence, fitness and friendships through boxing.
As a consequence, with the time passing we’ve outgrown our current setup. We currently rent by the hour in a poorly maintained space that limits our class schedule, the equipment we can use and the energy we want to bring every day. And so it became very apparent- we need a new home!
To make it all happen, I’ve started a crowdfunding campaign.
This gym isn’t mine. It’s ours.
If you’ve ever trained with us, rooted for us, are passionate about boxing and what it can do for people or simply want to support a female-led business- now it’s time to join the fight. Donate what you can. Every pound matters. Every share helps.
Let’s build something meaningful- for all of us.
